What causes GERD?
First of all it’s important to understand that (G-e-r-d) is an abbreviation and shortened word for Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease. Gastro means (stomach) and esophageal means (esophagus), another word for Acid Reflux. They are basically the same thing. It’s just a more medically oriented word and easier to say.
So, it is also easier to understand that those are the same causes of Acid Reflux. On this site I mostly use the word Acid Reflux. When you read and learn about indigestion remedies and diet, and start using the information you’ll be amazed at how much you feel better.
The remedies first start with natural treatment, going for the root of the problem. Natural treatments include diet with delicious alkaline food recipies and Aloe Vera help. You can also find severe GERD Symptoms under Barretts esophagus.
We are fortunate to have integrative healing including natural remedies, medication or surgery, depending on the Acid reflux stage and Dr.'s diagnosis. Being a U.S. citizen, I feel very lucky to have these choices of excellent American Surgeons, Medication as well as natural healing. Integrative medicine is the combination of natural healing and traditional Western Medicine, the best of both worlds.
Frequently, a person can find indigestion cures with different natural remedies for heartburn through changing, adding to and moderately tweaking a diet with delicious alkaline foods. If the reflux has gone on for a while causing some damage to the esophagus and esophagitis then your Doctor will be able to recommend medications or surgery.
A person with a full base knowledge of information has an understanding of choices and action to take without the confusion of feeling helpless to help themselves.
Acid Reflux disease and diet are well connected and by tweaking and adding some alkaline foods, big changes can occur. Typically there is more than one factor at any given time that is triggering GERD, so dig in here to see where there is a fit and get a handle on it. It might be a lot easier than you thought it would be.
